More than 80,000 adults already give their time to Girlguiding UK, contributing over 10 million hours every year. But even so, right now, nearly 50,000 girls across the UK want to join but can't - simply because we don't have enough volunteers. With your help we can give more girls here in Tamworth, the opportunity to start their own Guiding adventures.
 
Volunteering can be as flexible as you need it to be, making it easier for you to share your time, energy and skills. There are many roles to choose from, here are a few details about just some of them:

Did you know that every Unit has to have at least one warranted Guider - but the more uniformed leaders there are, the easier it is to run a Unit. Guiders in every Unit are amazing. They inspire the girls and young women around them, and work really hard to give them as many opportunties as possible. No leaders are paid, but the rewards are priceless.
 
Do you think you could share your knowledge and skills? Would you like to gain some valuable new ones, and enjoy the friendships and challenges Girlguiding has to offer? Then we would love to hear from you! As a uniformed leader you can make the difference between a Unit being able to meet or not, make it possible for girls to venture out and experience a wide variety of activities outside their normal meeting places, and really discover your own potential.

If you don't feel you are able to help lead a Unit, but can commit to helping on a regular basis, once a week or a fortnight, and want to become part of Girlguiding in your area, you could become a Unit Helper. A Unit Helper assists the Unit Leader, and is a vital member of the Unit team. The more helpers we have, the more girls our Leaders can introduce to Girlguiding.
